The cradle of hunting culture
From early cave drawings to the pageantry of aristocratic hunting, Europe is the cradle of all hunting culture. For European hunters, European wildlife is often underrated, because it’s at their doorstep. This is true whether they are hunting Alpine ibex in the Alps, or in the Scottish highlands - or Iberian ibex in Spain. The Eastern European tundra beckons with its reindeer and moose, which also can be found in the wide expanses of Scandinavia. Britain fascinates with its Asian species released in the wild, such as the Chinese water deer, and roebucks in mainland Europe are truly a magnificent experience. And they are increasingly being made into taxidermic mounts.
